Puzhathi Village was formed from splitting Kannur 2 village. It is situated on the east side of NH 66.

As per the latest census, there are 16661 males and 18005 females in this village.

Geography

The Village is situated in the East side of NH 66 and it has Elayavoor Village in its East boundary, Pallikkunnu Village in its West boundary, Kannur 2 Village in South boundary and Chirakkal Village in its North boundary. The village has KAKKAD RIVER and PULLOOPPI RIVER as two major rivers.

This Village is home to people from all religious and social backgrounds and they all live in harmony. It has people from all kind of political beliefs. This Village has emigrants to other countries as well as government employees and regular employed people.

Ecology

Due to the fact that this Village has two major rivers in KAKKAD River and PULLOOPPI River, it has an abundantly variety of fishes. The marshlands in this village is home to various birds and other animals. As the land is very fertile, various crops are also available in this village. It has small medicinal plants to large trees.
